等待丈夫的女孩
Eve Arnold，业界著名女摄影师，1913年出生于费城（Philadelphia），1946年在纽约一家照片洗印工厂工作，并开始她的摄影生涯；1948年毕业于纽约The New School for Social Research摄影专业。
Arnold最初在1951年加入玛格南图片社，1957年成为正式成员，整个50年代都在美国工作，1962年后移居英国，并曾造访中国——1980年她的首个重要个人影展便以其在中国拍摄的作品为主题；同年，摄影画册《In China》获得国家图书奖，个人获得美国杂志摄影师协会终身成就奖。
此后，Eve Arnold不断获得各种荣誉和奖项：1995年成为皇家摄影协会成员，并被纽约国际摄影中心推选为摄影大师（Master Photographer）；1996年，《In Retrospect》获得 Kraszna-Krausz Book Award；Eve Arnold还是美国国家摄影图书馆的顾问。
Eve Arnold一共出版过12本书，除了个人回顾性质的《In Retrospect》外，其余每本书都有独一的主题：50年代、玛丽莲梦露、中国、大不列颠、女性.....Eve Arnold说，“一名摄影师，只有在心怀同情，关注镜头前人们的时候，才能真正完成影像的记录。”
1979年，Eve Arnold游历中国并拍下如下这些照片，这批照片1980年在美国展出时引起轰动。
