　　在全世界电影音乐人中，大概很难再找到一个如同约翰·威廉姆斯般，跨越古典与流行，电影界与音乐界的多元化作曲家，如果没有了约翰·威廉姆斯的音乐，我们又怎能想象这世上竟然有这样一颗心，它可以容得下这两款截然不同的曲风缪斯；你或许更难想像这位鼎鼎大名的作曲家，从来都不愿读剧本，他只相信眼睛看到的，因为他独具慧眼，不但可以看到影片风情，还可以读出电影无法捕捉到的爱，约翰·威廉姆斯常盛不衰的创作灵感使他傲立于不败之地，在电影音乐的发展中留下了光辉的一笔。 
　　提到威廉姆斯就不能不提到他的黄金搭挡斯皮尔伯格。其实，人们更多地看到john williams这位大师级的电影人是在一次又一次的奥斯卡的颁奖晚会上，他腼腆地捧着奖座，说些不着边际的话语，在那个时候他宛如纯真快乐的孩子。而第一次感激斯皮尔伯格的时候，他就已经四十五岁了。那时候大导演斯皮尔伯格才二十八岁。

　　 一九七五年的那个夏天，尽管《纽约时报》影评说《大白鲨》不过是一部故弄玄虚的怪兽恐怖片，但是观众不信影评，大家还是排着长龙，到影院去感受williams步步进逼，比心跳还要狂猛的惊悚的乐声，享受恐怖之后的虚脱。 
　　惊悚－灾难片的配乐，历来受影片题材的制约非常大。能很好地表现出影片的气氛和导演的音乐语言，就已经很难得了（jaws拿下了奥斯卡，也说明了这一点）。不能奢望惊悚片会搞出气势如虹、宏伟雄壮的配乐来，那不现实。 
　　这张碟我平时听得也不多，毕竟它的可听性比起williams其他作品，要差一些，但每看一次jaws后（jaws绝对是恐怖－惊悚片的经典，我常看），我都会找出这张碟子来听一下。因为williams原声作品中，在表现电影语言方面，jaws绝对是第一流的。

　　一位伟大的音乐家，集创作，演奏和音乐制作于一身，一个真正的全才。被人们称为现代的瓦格纳(richard wagner)。他的许多史诗般的电子音乐作品和电影配乐深得乐迷们的钟爱，如『chariots of fire』影片〖火的战车〗配乐，『theme from antarctica』电影〖南极〗主题曲，『1492 conquest of paradise』影片〖哥伦布〗配乐等等。 
　　在很多介绍有关音乐的文章中，都喜欢将音乐人的风格定位，但是这种做法有时偏偏叫乐迷不太认同。其中一个典型的例子就是来自希腊的vangelis，有人将他归类为new age，但大多数乐迷都认为这是不尽详实的，因为vangelis音乐带给我们的感觉，就是一个无际的音乐国度，这也是一位有着出色意念的音乐人的特质。vangelis原名evangelos odyssey papathanassion，1943年出生于希腊。六十年代初，他在希腊自组乐队，成为当地的一支流行组合。到了1968年，他移居法国，与另外两位音乐人demis roussos和loukas sideras共同组合成了前卫乐队。到了七十年代，vangelis与yes的歌手jon anderson组成了jonand vangelis，带出一份清新而前卫的音乐感觉，当时人们已经很难对vangelis的音乐进行定位了。到了1982年，vangelis为电影chariotsof fire(火的战车)配乐，结果赢得了奥斯卡——“最佳电影歌曲”奖。如果你是通过chariots of fire而认识vatgels，这绝对是不够的，因为在1992年，他为ridley scott执导的影片《1942》中的conquest of paradise配乐，从而使电影的音乐概念完全体现出来，成为不少音乐学院的教材。碟中主题曲conquest of paradise，那种史诗般的气派，完完全全是慑人的感觉，精彩绝伦。

　　 其实，像vangelis这种大师级的人物应该专门做一张帖子，因为他有足够多的经典作品，足够多的资本让人尊敬。范吉利斯无师自通，他的音乐具有独特的无法复制性，他以键盘音乐为基础，巧妙融合古典、流行、电子、new age等音乐元素，发展出绵密的管弦乐法以及崭新的电子音乐语法，而他身兼作曲、编曲、制作的能力，更完整地呈现他的音乐理念，从早期古典乐器到后来的新电子音乐，在范吉利斯手中诞生出崭新的表现方式，成为一种未来感十足的新音乐。范吉利斯的成就，不仅反应在全球的唱片销售数字以及无数的得奖纪录，国际天文联盟更决定将新发现的「6354号星云」正式定名为「vangelis」，藉以向这位音乐大师致敬。

　　《泰坦尼克号》无疑是霍纳创作生涯中最具群众魅力的作品。在影片中，霍纳采用了不少由电子合成器谱写的乐段，再透过大约二十位乐师组成的小型乐团来诠释片中的主题音乐，同时搭配挪威女歌手西撒尔．吉尔克杰柏（sissel kjyrjeboe）天籁般的人声吟唱与法国号的共鸣，使全片的音乐既具磅礴气势，亦具有浪漫史诗的悲凉，真可谓刚柔并济，既突出了北大西洋海面上经历的一次代价惨重的沉船悲剧，有不失时机地表现男女主人公之间的款款深情，巧妙的编写出歌颂爱情同时也追悼爱情的感人旋律。至于在泰坦尼克号船上乐师所演奏的音乐，以及詹姆斯．霍纳没有收录在电影原声带内的作品，都另外结集出版了数张延仲性的专辑，依旧风行一时，有相当不错的销售成绩。

　　近二十年在国际扬眉吐气的中国新电影配乐，几乎都由这位作曲家一手包办了。他的代表作有《大阅兵》《黄土地》《红高粱》《老井》《菊豆》《大红灯笼高高挂》《五个女人和一根绳子》《秋菊打官司》以及获得戛纳电影节“金棕榈奖”并入围奥斯卡最佳外语片奖角逐的《霸王别姬》等。赵季平的老搭档张艺谋说：“赵季平代表了80—90年代的中国电影音乐，他是这一时期的里程碑和巨匠！ 
　　赵季平1945年生于甘肃，曾在西安音乐学院和中央音乐学院学习作曲。就个性来说，他对音乐的爱好与吸收是属于杂食性的，这使他不自限于中国音乐既有的意识形态，创作起来自由而新意不绝。赵季平描述自己成长的地理环境说：‘酒安，是丝绸之路的锁钥。一边是中国文明，一边通往欧洲之路。”一方面长年浸淫中国民间音乐，另一方面从小学习和欣赏西方音乐，赵季平宛如在脑中筑起一条音乐丝路，融合了民族内涵与先进的音乐语言。他的作品有时土味扑鼻，有时又流露出后期浪漫、印象派至现代音乐的技法。 
　　赵季平的老搭档张艺谋说：“赵季平代表了80—90年代的中国电影音乐，他是这一时期的里程碑和巨匠！”

　　本片的作曲由第一座奥斯卡配乐奖的得主马克斯．斯坦纳（max steiner）担任。这部史诗巨片长达3小时45分，配乐共发展出11个主题，99段音乐，其中不少音乐参考了美国民谣之父史蒂文．福斯特采集的南方民谣，其中，女主人翁郝思嘉站在大树下期盼明天的画面，配合了雄壮的主题音乐，将"土地不死"的精神发挥得淋漓尽致。此版本于74年由奥地利国家爱乐交响乐团演奏，rca victor唱片公司发行，89年在纽约用杜比环绕音效录制完成。温馨感人，宏伟瑰丽，气势万千的史诗乐章，绝佳的录音再一次烙印在影迷的心中。

　　《教父》第一集的配乐是整个“教父三部曲”的音乐基础，它由“意大利音乐教父”尼诺．罗塔（nino rota）完成。这是一张具有浓郁古典风格的电影配乐，其中的多首曲目弥漫着意大利的西西里风情，而且各种舞曲风格的交融给这张唱片增添不少亮点。尼诺．罗塔以他对意大利民谣的精深理解和过人的音乐天份为武器，写出了这部十分耀眼的《教父》，当年在提名奥斯卡最佳配乐奖时曾遭人检举，说其主题音乐早在他的意大利电影作品中使用过，因而被取消了提名资格。两年后，尼诺．罗塔以同样的主题音乐为《教父续集》谱曲，奥斯卡奖却乖乖的颁了给他，可见本片的气势凌人。在《教父》电影原声带中，“speak softly love爱的主题曲”早已是一首风靡全球的情调音乐；“迈可主题曲”更以激昂的管弦乐点出了教父次子的悲剧人生；“the godfather waltz教父华尔兹”配合父女相拥而舞的场面则最为精彩迷人。

　　很难说清是更喜欢阿汤哥的魅力还是本片的配乐，这段音乐成就了这部票房过亿的大片中最重要的元素，电子化的编曲处理让本片显得更加紧凑有力和富有时代感。埃夫曼在配乐过程中偏好使用电子人工配器，用大量不存在于现实的声音勾勒出暴力黑暗的幻想英雄形象，这使得他的配乐独立于影像之外，从而舍弃对管弦乐队的依赖，可谓是独树一帜。

　　然而，当时年方30的yann tierson新专辑发行在即，无暇为整部电影作配乐，于是，导演由旧专辑挑选曲目，再加上tierson15天之内赶工谱写的新乐段，《天使爱美丽》于是诞生。原声带迄今于法已破22万张销售！层层迭迭的钢琴、小提琴、手风琴、鼓声、口琴……构成yann tierson自成一格的异想世界，低吟时像打在湖面轻泛涟漪的细雨，轻盈时便化作跳动的水瓢，音符简洁短促，主旋律带出一次次变奏，旋律就这般悠然荡漾。

　　有人形容导演昆汀·塔伦蒂诺是“一个拾荒者”，而他的电影只不过是“一个拼贴游戏”。如果是这样那电影中的音乐更是杂的你都数不清路数。《杀死比尔1》里他就是整张音乐的制作人，可算是吊足了观众的胃口，以至于到目前为止还有影迷对上张音乐爱不释手，百听不厌。与前一张音乐不同，《杀死比尔2》原声大碟里增加了“昆汀式台词”的分量，而且曲目之间具有连续性。比如，采用日常俚语式独白或对话，就有开篇复仇新娘的“when i arrive at my destination，i am gonna kill bill.”。 
　　两张音乐与导演昆汀“黑色”、“拼贴”、“诡异”的风格十分吻合，成功地延续了电影里的阴郁气质，有些日本的含蓄，也充满着墨西哥的奔放与辛辣。复仇的新娘是比尔心中的最爱，而他却曾送她去地狱。我们看《杀死比尔》，就好比站在一个十字路口———在这里，我们听到一个关于复仇的故事；这个故事连接起东西方；这是一部勇者的壮丽史诗。

　　电影《花样年华》是导演王家卫艺术生涯的颠峰之作，整部电影收录了40首音乐，其中最令人至今耳熟能详的莫过于梅林茂作曲的yumeji's theme，伴随着男女主角周慕云(梁朝伟饰)、苏丽珍(张曼玉饰)的邂逅反复出现。诱人的华尔兹和弦乐的整体处理，象征着两性激情与守旧相冲突的矛盾。梅林茂还为《十面埋伏》《2046》等很多中国电影创作过配乐。 
　　可惜的是中国好多经典电影配乐都出自小日本之手。

　　虽然这首曲子已经被用的很烂了，但这张电影配乐却真是近年来香港电影界少有的经典作品。当然今年《伊莎贝拉》拿到了柏林电影节最佳电影配乐奖，但这部电影几乎全部用的葡萄牙风格的音乐，而且电影的影响力与《无间道》也无法相比。

　　内地的电影一向不太重视电影原声，在我记忆中很少有发行ost的，在这一点上，港台方面也强不到哪去，即使有也是以歌曲而非音乐为主，即使有经典配乐也很少有中国人自己的作品。当然《一个陌生女人的来信》同样没有发行ost。但片中的配乐到真是非常经典，林海的淡淡的琵琶弹奏很好的为剧情做了精巧的勾勒，凄美的琴声也附和了女主角在那个动荡的年代为了一段爱情纠葛而遭遇的一生坎坷命运。实乃上上之作。

　　三宝在张导的授意下采用了完全不同的创作方法。为了配合《我的父亲母亲》诗意、感人的温暖画面，三宝创作了优美动人的主旋律，并用多种乐器分别演奏予以加强。在影片最高潮时，插入无歌词的女声哼唱，让观众回味无穷。在《一个都不能少》的电影配乐创作中，三宝以陕北民乐作为基调，通过唢呐、二胡等民族乐器演奏，时而诙谐时而温婉，成功地营造了影片气氛。张艺谋的这两部电影大获成功，三宝功不可没。电影原声唱片甚至在北美隆重发行，可见影响之大。正所谓：“民族的才是世界的”。大打民族牌，是华语电影配乐走向世界的秘方之二。

　　经典的电影会为我们留下经典的原声音乐，这两者之间有着密不可分的关系却也有很大的不同。翻阅历史，至今能留存在我们记住中的电影应该不胜枚举，但真正能记起的电影原声音乐又能有几首呢？但你可以试想一下，如果没有那凄美的风笛，titanic的沉没是否还会让我们泪如雨下；如果没有那气势磅礴的交响乐，我们又怎么会感觉的到加勒比海盗的咆哮；如果没有那跳跃的钢琴，1900怎么会出现在我们的面前。与图象相比，声音似乎更容易被人遗忘，但不要忘记，声音才是可以打开心灵深处最后那扇门的钥匙。
